We could not provide the medical attention for the ferrets in care if it were not for the generosity of the Henderson Animal Hospital. They have provided discounted fees allowing the ferrets in care to get the medical attention they need. We could not operate without their generosity!

Instrumental in helping the MFA save 60 of 86 breeder ferrets during 2025. Grant Park Animal Hospital provided the spay and neuters at a heavily discounted fee along with their Wellness check up and vaccines. The Connecticut Ferret Rescue very graciously covered the vet costs for a total of 51 furries. The VI FERT now known as BC Ferret Rescue Society offered support by covering the cost of 9 neuters and Wellness check ups and taking the boys into their rescue to find them their furever homes. Grant Park Animal Hospital continue to support the Manitoba Ferret Association No Kill Shelter with subsidized medical care as needed. (The MFA covered the costs of the original 26 ferrets rescued)

The staff are wonderful. There are several ferret wise vets to choose from and all are great to deal with. Win Rose has come to the shelter’s aid on more than one occasion when our local clinic was not available. For folks living out St. Vital way, they are a great resource!
