Helen Pydee loved to go to garage sales. At one of these garage sales, there was an old very sick ferret in a small cage out in the baking sun. Helen purchased the poor thing and raced it home. She looked up our website and gave Deb of the main Shelter a call. Helen was going to drop off the ferret to the shelter.  In a matter of 24 hours Helen had fallen in love with the old gal she named Sadie.  Not only did she keep Sadie; she went on to become the Winnipeg Beach Intake Satellite Shelter for over ten years.  Sadly she was killed on her way home from work on May 27, 2015.  Not only did the MFA loose a shelter mom, we lost a fierce advocate for the well being of the old, broken, sickly discarded ferrets. We are comforted knowing that she is at the Rainbow Bridge happily playing with all the ferrets she cared for.
